&#60;p&#62;For now, the Wordpress plugin and theme policy is that you must create a package for each theme or plugin you want to install, or connect to a repository where someone else created such package.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I know it's a little bit restrictive, but on the long term, and for maintainability it make sense that every component is a package.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;There is ways to bypass this policy but they are not documented yet.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I'm also thinking about a system that allow users to create a package automatically by uploading a traditional theme or plugin zip archive.

To make sure I understand, could I use this installer to install a custom wordpress blog ie one with my own theme and plugins ? Any way to activate the plugins without having to do that manually for each one from the web admin ?&#60;br /&#62;
